Hi,
Looking for rowboat system for cox to use wireless headset (bluetooth?) to bluetooth speakers.

  • They're not allowed cellphones in case coaches communicate
  • Trouble is they want it cheap and I know where that leads....
They use a battery in the boat but a wireless charging system would be ideal and obviously any delay would mean they would be out of time.
I thought ipod touch with headset and bathroom bluetooth speakers.

Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated.

Doesn't someone already make wired systems? Why does it need to be wireless? Is the boat 'solid' as in a cable cannot be run?

When I was rowing (20+ years ago) our boats all had a little system in them that counted the stroke rate and had a microphone going to a couple of speakers under the seats.

Yeah just did more research and dont see any benifit going "wireless" and really needs to be robust.
I'll suggest this to them http://www.nkhome.com/rowing-sports-products/cox-box-mini if they're on a limited budget.

Usual story of built for purpose etc.

Thanks for the reply though.
