I was having a look at some home irrigation options and stumbled across this (due June).
http://smartdroplet.com/

It looks so cool and maybe good for someone on tank water but I would so never hear the end of it from the wife if I got one. That and I'm sure it would be repurposed for malicious purposes such as spraying the neighbors cat laughing

Looks quite neat, but for the price I could dig in regular irrigation pipes and a tap timer for less. Granted no where near as much fun.

Now can you pump petrol through it to make a flame thrower?

Mate, both my wife and I would buy it ONLY for the neighbour's cats!  Lady across the road has 8 cats.

You can never have enough Volvos!

Poor Cats.

The Volvos have got to your head

I think this would only work in the US. It relies on a lot of tracking things and local based services.

Thought I might buy one for my wife, until I saw the price. :( And it didn't even occur to me to use it against cats!

If you replaced the water hose with a supply of molten plastic, maybe it could be a long-range 3D printer? Then it would be cheap! laughing

For USD $300 you could buy your own cat.

Jeez, I wanted sooo bad until I saw the price. And I wouldn't be leaving it on the front lawn!
I can underground a whole pop-up / drip sprinkler system for half that.
