Our garage door remotes are starting to break up and I'm not willing to spend $75 per remote to replace something that's really worth about $5! What are my options? Add an add on receiver to the dominator system then control via wifi or Bluetooth? Any experience/recommendations? We have 2 double doors to control.

Do you have a wireless alarm you can hook into to also control the doors? This is what I've done with mine, however, unless you do it yourself you may be spending more money than buying new remotes.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

I was thinking more along the lines of this... http://www.ismartgate.com/ but no NZ distributor yet...
I
can do work myself and I don't mind spending money, just not willing to be ripped off for cheap plasticy remotes.

if you dont mind spending a bit of money and not worried about doing it yourself, you can go with a DHS Z-Wave Garage Door Ctrl , then you will need a z-wave controller (pc or a vera lite).

thats completely overboard if you just want to do the garage.  but pretty cheap if you would be keen on doing additional things.

I just ordered a garage door controller from z-wave.com.au yesterday, seems simple enough to install.

When I looked at this I came to the conclusion you must buy original remotes. I ended up replacing the whole garage door opening system, given how expensive remotes are it wasn't much more expensive, and my old opener was getting old and creaky.

You can get wireless controllers that activate off your indicators

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.
