My 98yo grandma lives in a different city, and has intermittent hearing. Sometimes when I call, she can't hear anything so I have to try another day.

Can anyone recommend a landline phone (preferably cordless but extremely simple to use), that has extra-loud earpiece volume?

She currently uses her phone while wearing a basic hearing aid, but if the phone is loud enough she'd prefer to remove the hearing aid for calls.

(Apologies if this is the wrong forum or if this has been asked before.)

You may find they are better off with a speaker phone. This is the case for my Dad who has hearing issues.

Uniden make a pretty good 'hard of hearing' phone. Has a big light on top and a "boost" button on the side that makes the volume go ballistic.

Many thanks - either the ballistic phone or speakerphone option sound good. Will investigate both.
