I don't have a TV antenna in my house as i have tried to go full IP but just for kicks, i plugged a coat hanger to my antenna socket on the TV and i get all the channels on Freeview. Obviously the hanger is not acceptable to my wife so was wondering if there anyone can recommend an indoor antenna.

How about decorating the coat hanger with beads or something?

I had one of these that worked very well.  I still have it somewhere if you want to try it out and you're in the Wellington Area.

Odd - I had one of those in Auckland and it was rubbish - the one 4 all (similar to the amplified warehouse link above) was much better and cheaper. The DDS one forced me to get an outdoor aerial installed, solving the issue completely.
