Kia Ora All,

 

I am giving a presentation at an event on the 6th of September. Topic is New Business Capabilities enabled by Cloud - will have an IoT/Data and Analytics bent.

 

I want to have a live heart rate display on screen during the presentation - in the bottom right. Big reveal half way through the presentation will be guess what this number is - imaging tracking this at scale etc etc.

 

Now I just need to figure out how to do this with the following constraints:

 

1. Under $150.

 

2. Can source gear, assemble and test in under a week.

 

3. Needs to be small/not bare wires everywhere.

 

I have a heart rate belt and a Mi Band for what they are worth.

 

Any ideas?

Any of your monitors BLE?

 

You could use something like this;

Or roll your own, its pretty easy to listen to BLE devices AFAIK.

 

PS if you are in Wellington I have a BLE heart rate monitor you can borrow (chest strap)

Hmm, doing some more research an ANT+ USB dongle and HRM belt might be a go-er.

 

Don't suppose anyone in AKL has such devices available for a 2 week loan?

Easy.

 

 

 

Step 1: Fake a heart attack.

 

Step 2: While at the hospital steal the heartrate monitor thingy they'll put you on.

 

Step 3: Hide the heartrate monitor under the podium, but have a camera on the heartrate.

 

Step 4: Project the image from the camera onto the screen somehow.

 

 

 

Step 1-3 should be simple, not sure how to do step 4 though.

 

 

 

Not 100% it meets your third requirement, haven't had a heart attack for a while.

Hmm, going through my presenter notes it will be on their laptop anyway so may be a non-starter.
