Where do you guys buy CR2025/CR2032 button cells? Is there some nifty online source with reliable quality and discounts for 10 packs etc (TradeMe - ha ha haaaa...) that I don't know about -- or should I just stick to 1 and 2 packs of Panasonics from Mitre 10?

I know I mocked the reliability of TradeMe traders, but I do admit to buying button cells from DX before (which is where it seems a lot of TradeMe traders source all of their stock!). And DX are very cheap, e.g. 5 cells for US$2 - but I suspect the 'genuine Sony' and Camelion branded cells are not quite as authentic as they seem ;-) . And due to airline regs DX will no longer ship lithium cells to NZ anyway... not that I'm even sure some of these are genuinely even lithium.

Cheers.

ebay, I've got a dozen of those tiny battery types from various sellers. You can usually get 10 quality cells shipped to NZ for the price of buying one in NZ.

Kmart have these in a pack, I cannot remember the exact price though, but I believe it was reasonable.

Since the only thing we have that uses them is our kitchen scales, and we only need about 2 a year, I just buy them at Mitre 10 or the supermarket!

I just buy those at supermarkets. There is a balance between buying one or two and having these immediately or looking for a discount on a batch of 50.

Pretty much every $2 type store sells 5-10 packs for $2-$3

You didn't make it clear if you really require bulk quantities or are just musing about getting them as cheap as possible.
Anyway battery stand at local new world - pack of 2 energisers for around $6.

Like sbiddle, I have just acquired mine from the local $2 type store. Ridiculously cheap compared to the supermarket or Mitre 10, and they seem (so far) to have comparable performance.

Nice. Thanks for all the replies folks.

Think it will end up being a combo of $2 stores (totally forgot about them) & premium brands from supermarkets.
