So story going around tonight is that pebble is selling to fitbit

https://9to5mac.com/2016/11/30/fitbit-purchasing-phasing-out-smartwatch-maker-pebble/

I backed the new pebble time 2 watch on kickstarter a few months ago and still don't have it so not holding out much hope in getting it now.

No! I love my Pebbles!

I also backed the Pebble 2 (not the Time 2) and it arrived yesterday. Already enjoying fiddling with it. The voice to text works surprisingly well. Silicon strap is very svelte and the screen is nice and big and clear to read.

I did get a pebble 2 from amazon (as it was faster than getting it from pebble as they had no stock).  Was going to give it to someone as a xmas present but no point now if it wont get updated if issues happen.

Really hope my Pebble Time 2 still arrives via Kickstarter! There hasn't been much of an update in that space lately...

Fitbit products seem to fall to pieces very easily...

I really do as well, but I have sent them a message saying if they can't update or supply within the next 7 days I want a refund.

I too backed a PT2 on kickstarter. Love my kickstarted P1 and my kickstarted PT1.

Hope I still get it!

I'm hoping this is not true however given that when the news broke pebble posted the following emoticon on twitter "¯\_(ツ)_/¯" so it's looking rather grim.

I am also waiting on the pebble time 2 and a pebble core. The pebble core was looking like a really cool bit of kit for hackers.

I asked pebble for a status update on the pebble time 2 about a week ago and they said

Thanks for checking in!

Time 2 and Polished Time Round rewards have experienced a production delay which we're still working to correct, which may affect delivery.

We don't have details to share for their delivery yet, but we'll share an update before December with more detail. We apologize for being unable to share more specific detail now, but will provide it as soon as possible.

Thank you again for your support and patience!

I have a couple of their products namely the Fitbit Charge HR, Blaze and Charge 2. They all work and are still going strong to date. I am also unintentionally rough with them as they accidentally get bumped against tables, scraped against walls and squashed but still working exceptionally. I also gotta say the Charge 2 has exceptional battery life! It lasts so long after a full charge that I forget exactly how long before I have to charge it again!

 And pebble is gone.

Sold to fitbit today, no new hardware, no more support or new features, they will look at a way to make the watch more independent from any pebbles online systems.

Warranties are also out now.

Just talked to amazon about a refund and now have to pay close to a $100 in courier fees back to the US as the device has a battery.

Yes my issue is that my credit card expired between July and now so they won't be able to refund me. Now I have to file a charge back which is just more time wasted

Very poorly handled in the middle of a KS campaign. I have an original classic that fortunately hasn't had any problems.

Lots of ppl caught up in the current campaign will be outside the timeframe for chargebacks so will have to wait till March for refunds (ridiculous!).

Just got a reply from Kickstarter saying that they should be able to still credit my credit card. They hope to have these day within 10 days and backers should get an email once it's been done.
Now I just have to sort out my return to Amazon
