Some background, because of the very wide angle of the lens it's capturing the branches of a tree to the right of the image, I've set the detection hotspots to the path leading to the house but it occasionally gets branches/leaves blown across it when there's a bit of wind.
The problems:
- Sometimes it just stops detecting anything, there's no movements or alerts for days at a time. On New Year's day I had half the family trooping up and down the front path and got no indication that anything had happened.
- Detection at night-time seems to be nonexistent. I get lots of movement alerts due to the tree branches, but nothing if there's a person on the path. I could have a whole army of burglars coming down to the house and unless a tree branch moves wouldn't get anything recorded.
- When I'm training it ("this should be a movement/action"), about once every four or five clicks it drops into the set-hotspot screen, which I then have to back out of to get back to the training-mode screen. This is really annoying, it happens at random every couple of clicks, throwing a hurdle into the training process.
I've already tried the obvious things, e.g. telling it to forget its training and start again, but that doesn't seem to have helped.
Is anyone else running into issues like these?
