"We're working hard to help users through those moments"?!
WTF.
I guess calling up to schedule an oil change is such a, like, you know, challenge. The person who answers the phone might, like, offend me or something.

And remind me not to go to the Restaurant Of Idiots, too!

Yeah, although lets see in in real life,
We got promised this 7 years ago too. and it still hasn't really stacked up
The problem is if it misunderstands and makes a mistake. Then who is liable for the cost. Could be expensive if you make a dentist one and then miss it, although dentists do usually txt service these days to remind you. But in NZ, people will know it is an automated call due to the accent, and I can't see them having a NZ accent in a hurry.
I want to hear the calls that went wrong!
Could have sooooooo much fun in the office with this
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Could use it to call Vodafone, will save you a lifetime of grief

I wonder how it replies after waiting for an hour on hold. Or if it has to phone an automated call centre where you are essentially talking to a computer. It would be funny to hear two computers talking to one another. Maybe we will get to the stage where the first question we will ask, is if the call is automated. This cort of system could get abused by telemarkers or automated callers, or even scam callers. In the wrong hands it could be quite dangerous.
Why to they always the tout the weather aspect. Is it going to be chilly outside today/tomorrow. I don't think I have ever asked my phone for the weather. I do make appointments and reply to messages with android auto but that's about it really.
I for one welcome our new robot overlords , May google reign supreme.
Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding : Ice cream man , Ice cream man
The scary thing is that can use this to collect so much more information about us and so many more statistics.

My son in London has a Google home I annoy so often when we video chat with calling out "ok google" .............. he moves it now when we schedule a video chat.
seriously though for the disabled these assistants are quite handy

Quite a difference between booking haircut and SkyNet initiating judgement day.
What I'm most impressed by is how much like real person it sounded.
