Okay, this issue has been bugging me for months, and every time I try to resolve it I get nowhere.
Ever since I got my Note 8, I have never been able to use Google Assistant to control my Hue lights. I know what I need to do, but the Google Home app doesn't show me the applicable settings.
When I open the Google Home app, and clock on the Menu, all I see is "Cast screen/audio". Below that are "Devices" (which are just my Chromecasts), "Account Preferences", "Offers", "How to Cast", "Google Store" and "Help and Feedback." From everything I've read online, there should be more options at the top than just "Cast screen".
A few guides have suggested changing the language to English (US), but I've tried that and it makes no difference. I've cleared the app cache and restarted my phone, still makes no difference. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the Home app, everything is up to date (latest version of Oreo and Google apps), but nothing makes any difference.
Google Assistant works generally - I can bring it up (either by voice or by long press on the home button), and it will search and do other basic functions, but I can't see any way to fix this Home Control issue.
What have I missed here?
