I have a new pi with a hassbian/homeassistant install, but for the life of me I cannot get my limitlessled working.

I can set up the wifi-bridge no problems and can control it via the android app.

No matter what I do with either the configuration.yaml or light.yaml I either kill the frontend, or when it works it says I have an invalid config of light.limitlessled.

Any ideas?

Build one of these and forget their gateway.

even the new milight alexa gateway (and that series of products) is half finished trash.

I don't want to go down the route of spending more money, don't want to steep a learning curve at the moment and time is not on my side atm.

I was trying to take something I already have with spending little/no money.

I know the bridge works, I know my bulbs work and I know my HA install works. Just trying to figure out why they do not work together.

Finally got it going, the only change I can see is that I factory reset the wifi-bridge and tried again and again and again with the configuration.yaml file.

Stop/start the service and it is not working again.

Post the light config section of your yaml and version of homeassistant you are using.

Ive added that to my 0.79.3 version and it loads fine.

I actually rolled back from 0.81.5 to 0.79.3 as Ive had a whole heap of issues occur, including front end not loading at all...

Thanks for testing it out. I am going to try 0.79.3 now since you say it does work and will see what happens. I had the same problems in 0.81.2, and same problems when running HA on raspbian in virtual environment.

This is my attempt as trying to make it easy and just work.

Update: Unfortunately it does not work still.

Update 2: Rolled back to 0.65.0 - and it works, several reboots/stop/starts and it comes back online all of the time. However the logs show that it really does dislike either the Sony TV or amp and SongPal.
