My Morepork service has been working flawlessly for about 18 months.

But yesterday I arrived at the site where we have it set up and went to disarm the panel remotely via the app.....and found it was already disarmed. So I didn't disarm it.

I later noticed I couldn't control the 3 lights defined to the panel. I checked the panel...and it no longer knew anything about the lights.....or any of the sensors on doors and windows...or any of the image sensors. I can still talk to the two video cameras because they they don't go through the panel. They talk to the cloud directly via the Internet.

OK...so I'll re-learn the sensors.

But I can't. The Installer code doesn't work and there is no installer ID. The help says the panels would then need to be registered.....but web page says it's already registered...go the Installer user. Can't.

OK...so go to Morepork Support. Online chat is available from 8am to 10pm. It's 9am and no one is online.

Call 123.....and hard to actually get a human.....but took my place in the queue and they'll call me back in 45 minutes.

Looks like Spark is back into a cost-cutting phase and thus rendering themselves useless and annoying.

I'm typing this out in case anyone else has lost the installer ID and may know how to get it back. I'm happy to re-config the devices, but the panel has lost the user that would let me do it.

I've shut the panel and down re-booted it......didn't help. I have Master user access....but the Master user can't install any devices.

*sigh*

I don't know what caused the fault, but an online chat with support resulted in them restoring my config from a cloud backup.....and things mostly returned to normal. Their backup didn't have all the names I'd given my sensors and lights. My smart lights weren't able to talk to the panel anymore.....but the smart switches were....so maybe this is part of the fault.

But the panel is now seeing all the sensors and the switches. That's good enough for now.
