What's the difference between the US version and AUS/NZ version of Google Nest Hub/Home display when use in NZ? You can get a US version for around $110 AUD but for a AUS/NZ version is $170. What function (if any) are you giving up if using the US version?

Need to get a nz wall adapter. No warranty support. That's about it as far as I can see.

My US minis had no issues.
For some reason my US Google Home refused set up despite repeated resets. But got there eventually. Not sure what caused that issue.

Can't speak to the Hub.

Check out Kogan/Dick Smith as well for pricing.
Might get better support if it fails?

No functional difference, but you will need to use an adapter on the US power-plug (it's a 16.5V 2A supply that can handle our AC voltage fine). Is the $110 shipped? because otherwise that will add a bit to the price.

I've got some US Google Homes that I bought at their two for USD$99 special a few years ago that have worked fine.

The first gen Home Minis are probably a better deal if you just want to give the system a try, with various places selling them for around NZD$40 at the moment.

Functionality, they seem to be the same, other than needing a US-to-NZ plug converter.

You might run into issues connecting to 5Ghz wifi if using NZ APs. That's a bit of (reverse) interpolation on my part as I cannot get my AU home hub to use the 5GHz band of my US APs. Naturally, my US home hub is happy.

Admittedly, I haven't really spent time to sort it out while I was waiting for fibre. Now that that's done, I should try and play with it a bit to get some better understanding.
