Has anyone managed to get Alexa connected to a Gree Heat Pump?

When I press enable in Alexa it takes me to a Gree logon site but my username and password do not work. I note that instead of asking for username and password  it asks for account and password.

I have called the 0800 number for Gree and left a message, I have also asked for assistance from there forum, but no response.

I gave up and bought a Sensibo - works really well (and HomeKit aware as well as Alexa)

Well, after countless attempts to contact Gree and no response, I bought a Sensibo as well. If any product deserves an award for just working, it’s Sensibo. I now have the Sensibo app setup and voice control all working.
The heat pump works great, the Gree app is shit along with there support process. I would not recommend purchasing there heat pumps based on my experience.

We bought a new build and they had fitted Gree. I'd never heard of the brand.

Also went down the Sensibo route, controlled by Alexa

I got a Gree heat pump installed a few weeks back. The app works fine while on the same network as heatpump, but doesn't talk to the heat pump when not. I can set it up with Google Home, but again it cant talk to it.

Can Sensibo control all functions or just the basics?

I've been happy with my Gree Hyper unit. It came with build in WIFI and heats and cools more efficiently than my old panasonic for a cheaper price. You in some ways get what you pay for. Installer said he has installed hundreds of them and only 1 unit has ever failed which gree replaced no questions asked. He did say they don't have an official distribution agent in NZ like the other heat pump manufacturers do from the more well known companies.

The Gree app used to be crap but has gotten better in the last few months with updates and a new UI(I did complain about the app to them). I too can't get alexa working as it won't log me in but on the update notes in google play a while back it states that Alexa support was for North America and Europe only at this stage. Hope they bring support here too otherwise you'll need a sensibo as stated above.
