Hi - is this switch (AU version) suitable for NZ wiring?

Thanks

Yep

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Yes, but Shelly's need a Homebridge or similar? Trying to keep it simple with native Homekit devices where I can

What are you trying to achieve? I have multiple Shelly's all over the house, and certainly no homebridge.

I want to operate them with iPhone and Apple Home.

I have a few spare Shelly switches lying around too...

Ok, I will admit that's beyond me. I run Shelly's with home assistant - it then works with any phone.

Yep I could do that but trying to stay in the single Apple Homekit ecosystem without adding HA.

Oh, there's a shelly-homekit firmware that looks dead easy to install that converts the device to a homekit accessory. Will try it!

Jase2985:

Unlikely to have a SDOC. The website doesn't appear to be Australian, none of the reviews are in English.

The diagram on the website says it has a 10A (2300w) relay, but the specs say it is only good for 400w.

Update: I had some Shelly devices lying around and discovered the shelly-homekit firmware. Have loaded this onto a couple of Shelly1 devices and added them into HomeKit - quite straight forward and works as a very generic HomeKit switch. No need to bother with the Meross devices.

And just to draw a line under this one : Meross, credit to them, replied to my email and confirmed that they do not have an SDOC for their switch.

The SDOC is generally completed by the importer based on the test results that the supplier gives them. As Meross are not in NZ, its not likely they would have prepared this.
