Hi there, just wondering if the  Panasonic KX-TGB210NZ cordless phone will work with a wireless broadband modem ? Assumed it would include the usual grey cable and not the older style one as pictured ... if I change the cable will it be ok or not compatible ??

Thanks in advance

Do you have a VoIP service on your plan connected to the "wireless broadband modem"?

Yes I do... one of the very few... to have a landline connection currently - just wanting to replace the phones ( if this model will work)

Cheers

In this case it should just work, with the proper cable.

Or, use the cable from the phone you are replacing.

Bigger question is why are they still supplying BT plugs with phones when all the routers and the ONTs all have a RJ11 as the port on them?

Intergrated wiring is very common, new houses are built with BT jacks still going back to the ONT voice port (archaic I know)

IMO still its a bit crap to not supply either both cables, or a RJ11 cable and then a BT adapter for the legacy installs.

I have not seen a BT jack in any of the recent new builds I have had a look at when friends were house shopping, it was all RJ45s in a couple of places they would be useless for data use (kitchen counter and beside a bed) run back to a token wiring cabinet where they had not terminated them or had a little patch panel.

That makes more sense than anything else or a rj 11 to BT adapter if needed
