Couple of night ago WiFi just dissapeared on my iPod Touch - (not a network issue No WiFi shows in settings). I did a search and seems to be pretty common but found nothing on this site which surprised me. Other than reset any other suggestions? Hardware I suspect - anyone experienced this and had it fixed? How much?

This iPod is a warranty replacement and search of serial number shows that it is no longer in warranty period.

When was the replacement issued?

Originally Dick Smith and warranty replaced just within its time by Magnum Mac and that was a few months ago - see if I can sort out exact dates. 1 Year Apple and 90 post replacement is how I understand it works.

Wait, so if they give you a replacement iPod, your warranty is taken back to 90 days from getting the replacement!? I got a replacement one like a month and a half ago/2 months. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

That can't be legal can it? My warranty for first one was valid until late december

Oh and about OP, my brothers first gen touch did the exact same thing, wifi option was grey in settings. We just restored it a lot of times, charged battery and completely drained it a few times as well along with with many reboots, seemed to just fix itself

No, your normal warranty applies as per normal until the end of the original period. The 90 day period is a Renaissance/Magnum Mac period to cover you for the original fault only or some similar clause.

No.. I was not too clear.. this is the Apple details

In this case, the device was a couple of weeks within its warranty (home button was too well used and stopped working) so would have added almost 90 days.

It is always, 'whatever is longer'

So, if it is 1 day before the manufacturers, then your 90 days will last longer.

Yes, also to clarify, the warranty on iPods (and parts for Apple computers) is provided by Apple, not Magnum Mac or Renaissance. The 90 day warranty applies regardless of which AASP performs the repair.

Plus if you purchased it for personal use, you are covered by the CGA. I would expect something like that to last 2-3 years at least

Hi there, just to complete this thread - I tried all of the above numerous time with no resolution I had given up on WiFi until I upgraded IOS and voila... WIFi was back!! That was last year sorry for the delay :)
