Just in case anyone didn't catch it on the news tonight? Engineers from OPUS have been using an iPad and an AR Drone Parrot to carry out video reconnaissance of the earthquake damaged (Roman Catholic) Cathedral Of The Blessed Sacrament in Christchurch.

What an awesome use of this "toy"!

A worthy use for this 'toy'. Could have done with more footage though!

Finally a use? Toy?

Are you all referring to the iPad, or tabets in general? Every review I see places it as Numero Uno.

Especially worked well here on Sept 2, Feb 22 and June 13!

I was referring to the AR Drone... and you will note the use of the quotes to emphasize my point that while many see the AR Drone as a "toy" here's a terrific adaptation in using it for this purpose.
