Hi,

I have a lovely cedar T&G soffit under my entry canopy and have some low-level path lighting to guide a visitor to my front door. I need a sensor to pick up movement on that pathway and fire up the lighting. However I don't want to stick a big, ugly, standard, PIR sensor on my nice cedar!

Does anyone know of any small/discrete PIR sensors that can be flush mounted or have a small housing? I just want something that doesn't stick out like a big pimple on the timber finish!

I found this from PDL - http://www.pdl.co.nz/product-details.aspx?rcat=products&catid=736&id=1078 - which is about as good as I can find. I would prefer something black and a bit smaller than this if possible.

Anyone got any tips or suggestions?

Cheers,
Ben

http://www.securimax.co.nz/lighting/standalone_sensors.php

The one on the right is a flush 360 and depending on whether it would be under a decent overhang it could be used outside

Failing that, the trinity sensors are EXCELLENT ... without a doubt the most reliable on the market.... and they come in black

Cheers Evil - not sure I am a big fan of the 'scanning red LEDs' since this is purely a light sensor, rather than for an alarm. Don't want it to look like I have stuck KIT's little cousin up on my wall!
