@insanekiwi , was it a Toll courier that did the delivery or was it someone else?

I saw a Toll van driving around my town this morning, so I shot home.

That was 3 hours ago, so I guess they are not coming today.

I've been all over the Toll website and I cannot find a phone number to follow up the delivery.

Now following with interest. We have some carpet but mostly wooden floors and a retriever/Border Collie x. How well does this vacuum deal with pet hair?

Mine arrived from Dick Smith today and I gave it a trial run in the living area of our house (we're split level so will have to relocate it for different areas)

Initial impression is very good.  It navigated its way nicely around quite a cluttered area - lots of chairs, tables etc.  Cleaned quite happily under the sofa, where monsters lurk undisturbed by human-wielded vacuum cleaners.  It struggled slightly negotiating up onto thick rugs from tile floors, but managed.  It cleaned nicely along the top of some stairs without falling down.  The only things it didn't like were a trailing blind cord on the floor (now secured higher) and a plot plant with trailing leaves (now trimmed).  The dust bin was jam packed after cleaning 40 sqm in 53 minutes - mostly dog hair.

The only quirk was the app - it wouldn't find the cleaner when installed on my Android phone, but did when I installed it on an iphone.  Now that the cleaner has been found, the app works fine on either device.

Sounds good. Did you have to update its software first?

No - and when I checked last night, it reported the firmware was up to date

My review:

It sucks, and not in a good vacuum cleaner way.

- Can't make my vinyl to carpet transition

- gets hung up on aluminium slider frames and cries for help

- seems to randomly not want to go some places, EVEN IN MANUAL REMOTE CONTROL MODE!

Pluses:

- Actually picks up cat hair really well!

Cheers - N

I ordered mine from Geekbuying on the 11th of November.  The EMS tracking they provided never showed any info.

I came home on the 29th to find it waiting at the front door.  I followed the instructions earlier in this thread to get the app.  It connected fine and then updated the firmware.  Set it up and let it go.  It has been cleaning each Mon, Wed and Friday now and working well.  It picks up alot and needs an empty after each clean.  We have wooden floors and carpets and it transitions fine between them.  It doesn't fall down the stairs.  As others have mentioned, cables are its Achilles heel.  Also found mine humping the Christmas tree stand one day.

Ours has also stopped on the tassels at the end of a rug twice but other than that it does a great job.  I had to do one reset and reconfigure the schedule when I was mucking around with the app.  You need Mainland China as the region so it has the robot in the list to setup.  But you can configure language and timezone separately.  Mine actually told me that the phone and robot were set to different timezones and asked if I wanted to fix it.  This was after my 10am start actually happened at 2pm.

Overall very happy.  We don't have pet hair but we do have a cockatiel who throws his seed out everywhere and it does a good job with that.

I googled EMS tracking, came across this

https://www.nzpost.co.nz/tools/tracking

Put my tracking code into that, and then I had tracking.  The link they said was rubbish, nzpost tracking was great.
