russelo:
I've read that any ordinary magnetic tape works. Like those sorts used on cheap fridge magnets.
whereas I've read that only the Xiaomi tape works.
It must be all in the way you google.
Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!
We had some issues with the app saying the device is offline a few days after setup as well. Had to add the vacuum back onto the app and that seems to have sorted the problem...
Xiaomi's servers are no doubt in China and that may play a part in it as well

While waiting for my unit to arrive, I ordered some cheap magnetic tapes off Ali. I hope it works, if not I'll have some fridge magnets to make. :)

Resetting my modem worked for me.

How has everyone found the Xiaomi? I got a deal on the ilife A6 (Successor to the A4) from gaerbest website (was even cheaper than ALiexpress weirdly) about 2 months ago for $340 NZD including shipping and it has been spectacular - It doesn't have as much of the tech as the Xiomi - no app, remote instead and random algorithm instead of SLAM, less powerful vaccum - but i dont think our house could much cleaner tbh! we have 220 sqm spread over 3 levels and once a week or so i just take him to the other levels and set him off. Think i settled on it because the missus was not happy with me spending ANY pesos on a robot vaccum and I couldnt justify spending that much more and it seemed like the best capability per dollar at that time.
Are you getting any updates on the tracking number provided by Geekbuying?
The link from their email and from NZPost tracking doesn't show up anything.

Has been really amazing for our household, easy to take care of, don't have to look after it. Does really neat patterns on our new carpet as opposed to pretty much every other vacuum that does random patterns. Always picks up heaps of dirt that we can't even see. Couldn't ask for more tbh.
Mine's for sale. It can't deal with the huge transition from plush carpet to vinyl and I don't have time to sort it out. $375 inc shipping and original boxes.
Cheers - N

We could be keen. When did you purchase it, I take it it’s still in good knick? and where abouts are you located?
It's only a couple of weeks old and has only had a couple of hours use. I'm in Rolleston, near Chch... I still have the original boxes as well.

Needless to say, this is a first in first served. First person to confirm they want to pay and make payment gets it. (taken from message or post timestamps)
