BigHammer: Looks like a neat toy. Did you purchase locally?

No I got it from ebay. $100 shipped with HD Camera, spare battery, lots of spare blades etc.

The instructions for it aren't as easy to understand as I'd like. The battery has a cable and the motors have a cable, which join and I can't for the life of me find out how to stop them hanging out. It says there is a clip but I must be blind. I think the cable is causing it to unbalance a little.

Is there a channel for the wires to push in to? Thought the wiring was internal, but there might be a channel on the outer shell I guess, going by a couple of pictures I just looked at.

Do you have a link? I don't see any channels.

I just searched on the amazon app and had a look at the pictures there. Pretty small images on the phone so might not be any channels at all!

just jam the cables back inside the body, squeeze them in so they dont fall out ... theres little ridges on the opening that you can slot the wires into to help them not come out

tbh, even with the wires right out, the difference to control is negligable

i have a phantom 2, but still regularly pull out the hubsan, theyre fun as

Have been looking at the Phantom 2 and other DJI products myself. A friend has a couple of Phantom 2 models and they're very cool bits of kit. A bit more saving to do first.

All the local places were ordering in, I expect from Ebay, so in the end I did the same, ordered spares of lots of stuff.

I have an issue with it now, where it won't lift off the ground. All blades are spinning but it seems like no lift from one of the corners, unsure why that would be!

I'm watching these suggestions with interest too - I got given a Helo TC (http://griffintechnology.com/helo-tc-touch-controlled-toy-helicopter) for xmas and found it a lot of fun, even with the input lag due to being controlled by a phone and limited flight time between charges.
