just curious as to how long you trialled it for and what your expectations were. I am still interested in this device but battery life would be an issue if it couldn't last using GPS for 6 hours.

I took a bunch of students in to see the trading floor and while we were there we got shown some of the IT developments apps/augmented reality/glass stuff.

Myself and 20 students had a play for about 20 min and in that time we pretty my drained the battery, taking photos/videos and playing them back, asking it questions (they had to be simple or it wouldn't understand i.e. how high is mount Everest?) we didn't try the gps.

My expectations were high and i still think it was a cool toy,but the tech just isn't there yet

thanks that just shattered my expectations then. I did some research and to resolve the issue one suggestion was to make it solely bluetooth to limit battery drain. I'll watch how it progress's as I don't think it is dead just taking timeout to improve, hopefully.

I thought they just pulled the old version of Glass and they are planning on release a new version Glass 2,
that uses a new Intel with more ram, more processing grunt and uses less power as well as other features like working with normal glasses.

It makes sense for google to stop selling the obsolete before releasing a major upgrade, didn't the xbox do that too.
