reven: if I was needing a new one, I would buy it, but yeah not a needed upgrade from the pi2.

the discussion on it over at the kodi forums doesnt look so great (3 posts at time of this posting), just a mention of allwinner chips not working great with kodi, so that could be a problem.

my only real issue with the pi2s are I cant run netflix/hulu on it with a remote.  i'll have the same issue with this no doubt.  If they could get android tv on it, then I would buy one in a heart beat.  h264/h265 + android tv == perfect streaming/playback device.

Have you guys tried the playon addon for netflix on Kodi?

yeah its pretty average, not the ideal way to navigate netflix.
