I must say the most 'natural' sounding headphones would be the Sennheiser Momentum, might just squeeze in within budget at amazon UK

*note he wants "over ear" not "on ear"

IMO comfort is probably the most important thing to consider if you going be wearing those headphones for long hours. Try them at your local shop before buying online.

I would advise against writing off "on ear" headphones unless there's a specific reason.  They tend to be lighter, allow more air circulation around the ear, and aren't at risk of resting on the top of the ear, making them more comfortable for long sessions.

For the office now I've got 2 pairs of the PX-95 (2 offices) which are an inexpensive headphone from Sennheiser.  The sound is neutral and non-fatiguing, bass response is surprisingly decent, and even though they are open design there is very little sound on the outside.  It's a bonus in my mind that they just look like any old cheap 'phones - not likely to grow legs.  Most of all though, they are some of the lightest 'phones I've ever used - I can wear them all day and barely notice.

I've been wanting to buy the Audio-Technica ATH-M50X for the last few years as the Youtuber MKBHD has talked them up so much. I'm finally getting one next month as my sister works for an Electronics retailer and can get them for ~$135 each brand new so I decided to finally get a pair.

It has an intense deep and strong bass and a slight shrill to its highs, and slightly recessed mids. Pretty cool. Have owned headphones from $10-$2000 and now I'm left with this. Well i prefer the $2000 one but it was consuming me I had to let it go :)

Anyone selling an Audeze LCD2.2 let me know ;p
