Batwing: I wouldn't bother with it, simply couldn't get it to pair consistently and don't like the idea of my requests going external anyway

 

Are their any other, better quality types on the market that would be suitable for a 2400W heater?

I've used a Belkin Wemo switch with a 2400watt oil heater for some months, no issues.

Your request doesn't go externally if you use it with home assistant.
