Dulouz:

I have a large two-storey house with a mixture of carpet, slate and tile floors. Would one of these units be useful?

It has cliff sensors so won’t fall off stairs. They perform well on hard flooring and carpet as long as the carpet isn’t too shaggy.

Can you set up separate zones? i.e. upstairs, downstairs, self-contained flat And then move it from zone to zone?

It scans and maps the area it’s working on from scratch each time, so you can move it to different areas and set it going no issues. You can also move the charging station if you want to.

If you put it in a closed room or separate space that doesn’t have the base station in it, it will clean the room, then try to find the base station. When it fails to do so it will return to the starting point and notify that it’s complete. Then you can just pick it up, put it back near the base station, tap the ‘return home’ button and it returns to base and starts charging.

Does that mean you have to pay GST on it?

It will depend if it gets checked/inspected when it clears customs.

Note that If stopped, Customs use their own exchange rates to determine the $NZ value. The Customs website has this info.

Also, if you have to pay GST, you will also have to pay handling fees, so it will cost an extra $100 in total, not just the $60 of GST.

Unfortunately it looks like the MIROBOTD coupon has reached its usage limit, so the deal in the OP is no longer available...

Do any of these robots have a feature to not run over cat puke or dog excrement?

I know we've all seen the horror photos.

Cheers - N

$40 TNT shipping is only available with stock from the CN warehouse. The code you applied is only valid for stock in the HK warehouse, which doesn’t have the cheaper TNT shipping option.
