I've used OrangePi's and they're HORRIBLE in terms of quality, operating system support etc. Had 2 die on me in a little over a month. Again, you're best to spend those few dollars more. The stuff with the Allwinner CPU's just simply are not that good and you're not saving much by using them.

 

Been using Odroids since without any issues.

Pi 3 can handle some stuff, but the OPs idea of a Zero W, nah.... I wouldn't waste my money. 

 

I run either Plex or RetroPie on my 3, by swapping cards, but they're ethernet, and the Zero is useless on either I think.
