He's very active on the ipcamtalk forums, and happily follows up with firmware queries. Otherwise they are genuine products that you should be able to update via Dahuas website.

Andy is a great guy. If you're wanting to go down the path of buying cameras from Aliexpress he's the only person I'd recommend. Genuine English Dahua or OEM products.

 

 

 

 

Does he supply new firmware version if camera's purchased from him? Or a case of using some google-fu. 

 

 

He's great with support and will supply firmware. There is no need to ask him though since Dahua started putting the latest firmware on their site around a year or so ago, and since he sells genuine products you can simply source firmware from the Dahua site to upgrade.

At least their newer firmware releases force you to select a new complex password at initial login. This means people who have port forwards set up will at least have a more secure password.
