24 hour time. Eg 18(00) for 6pm I asume. Pointless on a smartwatch where screen can be changed to show. I'd prefer 1-12 if going that way for the faces that don't have numbers.

maxeon: I don't think which hand you wear matters. It's a comfort thing.

I am interested to know about the heart rate bpm on average here. Mine goes anywhere between 81 to 98 when I am in relax mode. Don't think that's good for a 39 year old.

I was always taught you wear it on your off hand so on your left if you are right handed. Drink less caffeine.

Watches? Always on left hand. If you want on right hand there's nothing against it though.

LOL I'm dumb ignore I said anything.
For setting gmt.
Google said something of sort and I didn't read lol. Still since they had separate hand for 24 hour time makes no sense to carry over to smartwatch. Especially if no digital face supports. Plus doesn't rotate so other features that use it don't apply either.

Also thought the same! I've paired it with my iPhone and it integrates flawlessly into the iOS Health app for sleep and heart rate data.

Maybe the decision not to use Wear OS made sense in the end. While Wear OS may be popular, the situation is not akin to Android and the perils of relying on Google or anything US based which Huawei has always feared are no longer simply theoretical.

I currently use a Huawei Watch Classic with Wear OS, and have previously used a Pebble and Sony's excellent Smartwatch 3. Smartwatches effectively come from two schools of thought: They're either a watch first with added smarts - see Pebble, Amazfit Bip - or a smartphone missing bits - see Apple Watch, Samsung, Wear OS. Historically the latter has been much more popular and expensive than the former, given the increased capabilities and app suites, but I personally value battery life and the ability to tell the time over the ability to do a variety of 'smartphone things' in a manner inevitably worse than a smartphone. Fitness/health features have come to dominate the conversation in smartwatchland because fitness trackers are a respectable and viable niche from which to springboard the rest off of, although my primarily desire in a smartwatch beyond 'being a good watch' first lies in notifications - I get a lot of them and triage is essential. In short: While I appreciate the added notification features of Wear OS, I miss the Pebbles, and don't particularly care for apps on my wrist beyond media controls.

I agree with your comments about the likes of the Pebble Vs the Apple Watch or Samsung Gear.

I still use my Pebble(s). The alternate Rebble platform is keeping things going and providing support.

I've just got one of these Huawei GT watches too. Very nice, does what I want but I am looking for the ability to change watch faces. Has anyone worked out how to do it yet? Are we waiting for this feature to be added in NZ? On another forum it indicated that if you register on the Huawei app in the UK the watch faces may be available to download, but I can't work out how to do that yet.

If anyone knows a way round this, please let me know. I'm a bit worried with the US-Huawei thing, but they shouldn't need Google's permission to deliver watch faces.

The watch does not run on Google Wear OS you have nothing to worry about.
