Have looked at every screen and option …. no 'weather'.

Might uninstall/reinstall in case something went awry … might need a different 'version' of the App to accommodate the Android I have on the laptop (Remix).  I'll also try an install onto a phone and see what happens.

Other than this little hiccup the device works fine.

UPDATE:  Installed "Google App" and a heap of additional Settings options turned up on the Google Home App, including Weather 😁

Now I only need ask for 'weather' and it defaults to my home-location and degrees C for the temperature.

Thanks to all or your help and interest.

Now trying to get Google Home to play radio stations and/or music requests using I Heart Radio … keeps telling me to this needs to be set in the Home App, but cannot find where to do this.

I Heart Radio account is accessed using Google log-in, so assume it is now 'linked'.

Any assistance greatly appreciated 😁

I don’t think iHeartRadio is available as a ‘service’. But if you go in to the iHeartRadio app and cast to your google home device it then lets you use voice control. It should then ‘remember’ your iHeartRadio and still be available even when not using the iHeartRadio app.

I use Play Music, so didn't actually do the following.

However, have you tried:

[Account]-[Settings]-[Services]-[Music]-[More music services]-[Other music services]

It says, "You can ask you Assistant to use any music app on your phone or tablet".

@zorg2000 … thanks, I'll give it a try when I get home.

@nitro … I saw those words in the Settings, but didn't seem to work though …. zorg2000's suggestion might remedy it.  Do you use Play Music for free or via subscription?

I have a family subscription, as wife and kids want them too. Includes YouTube Premium (ad-free and originals), so good deal for me.

This makes it seem easy:

Easy..

"Ok Google, Play ZM on IHeartRadio"

(You can't set Iheartradio as the default music Player)

If you set Google Play Music as default you can just go "Ok Google, Play Post Malone"

At the moment you cannot ask for anything more (Artists or Songs) via IHeartMusic.

You can do many other things if have multiple homes/chromecasts/lights etc

Well try saying "Hey Google - Play Sunny Radio on iHeart Radio"

This streams the Sunny Radio station on Iheart Radio (well it does for me)

Yes, the Google knows about a lot of services.

"OK Google, Play The Rock FM on tunein" and it works.

"OK Google, Play NZ Tech Podcast" (Plays from Google Podcasts)

Yes it will only play Stations off IHeart Radio, not individual songs or artists.

All,

Thanks for suggestions etc, but no matter what I do the Google Home responds with " … need additional information in Home App".

Set Google Play as the default music service.. and then use "OK, Google play ZM on iHeartRadio"

If you have "Home" or "Google" open on the Phone it might tell you more specifically what you need to do.
