The PXC-250 is what I have. Very nice sound, they are based on the PX-200 which are the closed version of arguably one of the best portable headphones around, the PX-100. Thats why the PXC-250s have such a good sound.
Yep, I had a set of PX200s that I bought in 2005 and used for a few years hence why the PXC250 was naturally the fitting option when I had a bit of spare cash and decided that I needed noise cancellation. I have to admit that when I first got the PX200s I thought that the build quality was a bit flimsy, particularly the little earcup balljoint, but both my PX200s and PXC250s have stood the test of time with frequent usage.
Apparently the newer model, the PXC-250-II is sonically a bit better but ultimately I'm happy with what I've got. My only gripe is the large in-line noise cancellation module which I find annoying compared with the integrated noise cancelling circuitry on the QC15 and HC700.
As I've already noted anyone seriously considering the QC15 would be mad not to consider the HC700 as an alternative. Although the noise cancelling isn't quite as effective they're little more than half the price and they really are surprisingly good.
