Agree, I got an FX740 in May and I think it's great. The Apps UI isn't the best, typing in keyboard compared to voice search for example, but think it has great picture quality . Gaming is meant to be good on this TV too, for response times and motion blur etc. Was set on getting a full array Sony but $1400 for 65" Panasonic compared to $1800 for the 55" Sony x95g made the decision for me.

Are you able to plug in a USB keyboard?

You might mean the GX740. The 65" FX740Z and GX740Z have an IPS panel by the way.

Do disable overscan if you haven't already. It should make a difference.

Is LG still forcing overscan on 576i sources on 2020 models?

Another happy Panasonic LCD owner here, for the price I thought Panasonic offered much better quality and features.

Yes the GX740z 65", pretty happy with it. I'll do that disable overscan setting, thanks.
I could try a Bluetooth keyboard maybe, have a usb extender cable on it before before I wall.mounted but not handy for easy access. It also should work with Alexa/Google speaker link to open and search but haven't tried that.
YouTube is easy to play on TV from phone without Chromecast. My mi box died else can use that also.

Thanks for confirming that for me, it's good to know it was the video that was the issue!

I checked the links out, and believe it or not i actually watched the 'Gemini Man' the night before you recommended that clip to me! lol Quite the coincidence!

Both the 'Gemini Man', and the 'Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk' clip looked simply amazing on my TV with those high frame rates! The colours absolutely pop (especially on the 'standard' picture setting), and the blacks for an LCD are a nice deep black, not grey like on most IPS LCD displays with only edge lit panels. The full array panel makes quite a difference even though it doesn't have as many dimming zones as some on the market. I have local dimming on the Medium setting which is more than enough (low even looks good), and it looks pretty bloody good to me. There is a bit of blooming, like at the end of the movie when credits are rolling on a dark black background with white writing in front of it, but that's to be expected and isn't too distracting.

With full spec HDMI 2.1 included, it will be when the PS5 is out that this TV will really benefit! It's not perfect, nothing ever is, but i think it was the right decision to get this TV. There are better LCD's on the market, but they are well over the price range i'm willing to pay, and they don't have Web OS haha! ;)

If i was solely a movie watcher, i would get an OLED, hands down. But, being a gamer that can play several hours at a time on the same game with a bright HUD on the screen, an LCD was the right decision, at least for a couple of years or so until burn in is completely fixed and no longer a potential issue.

Until then, i'll enjoy this LG, and i really look forward to seeing what Gran Turismo 7 running at 4K @ 120fps looks like on it! :)

Just a note re. Sony NZ. Our 3 year old 65" LED set stopped working a year ago. A google search quickly revealed that it was a known issue (Sony US are offering an extended warranty on the model to the end of 2020). Sony NZ possibly the least helpful company I have ever dealt with in my time on this planet. Eventually HN made good (big ups) under the CGA, but it's left me vowing never to purchase a Sony set again.

It depends on a company's local subsidiary. Panasonic in the US has had a reputation for poor customer service while Panasonic New Zealand has had a good reputation.
