More on the Reolink Argus 2 Camera Motion Detection ..

 

1. does not respond to any changes in the image at all - as shown when panning or bumping the camera, there are no motion alerts at all !!
   
2. close at hand movement is detected out of the field of view eg at right angles to the device
3. movement is not detected at all through a pane of glass, even when it completely blocks the field of view
4. Reolink claim to detect a "sneaky person at a distance" at max sensitivity - is this some kind of a joke? 

    

    

    

I assume they are using infrared or Doppler method of some sort.
