Black and red for power, blue and white for nc or no.

To use tamper you need another two wires and you will use another zone.

Remove the resistor. End of line is not used.

The photo is probably not clear enough (and feel free to explain like I am 5 ...sorry...)

Can't say I am bothered with the tamper feature.

Makes sense what you say about the Tamper bit being it's own zone.

The markings on the PIR from left to right are:

No-mark     NC               TAMP            +         -

White          |           empty empty    Red       Black

                  |---------------resistor--------------|

So with a Konnected board, I would keep the red and black where they are (of course).

Remove the resistor and I could presumably use the currently unused blue wire to connect to the NC slot.

At the other end of the cable, the White wire goes to Zone X on the Konnected board and the blue wire could go to Zone X GND.

Is that a 12v LED light transformer at the top of the picture that you are using as a PSU for the Konnect board?

Yes, but not currently connected. If you look closely the fuse has been pulled. Currently powered by POE (Currently using 1.50 W).

I have konnected and use home assistant to control and monitor it. Works like a charm.

You fired up the Konnected app and set it up there first?

Sorry - I know nothing - just really interested and have been 'researching'....

😐

Is it worth trying the 'smart things' app?

They had a bit about that on their website.

At least it would prove (or not) that your setup is functioning.

Usually the tamper contact is wired in series with the alarm contact meaning you only use the one zone for the detector and the tamper for that detector. Depending on the panel type you can use different resistors to have tamper recognition.

Also, for anyone with an old micron system, when they die they have a tendency to die in winter in the middle of the night, the sirens run until all power is removed from the PCB and the codepad locks up and doesnt work.

It makes for a noisy wait for an alarm tech to turn up and disable it all, sometimes that includes a battery in the external siren too.

Fun.
