Thanks @andrewbnz!  I saw your post and ordered some of the latest "plus" units on Saturday, and they've just arrived!  Saturday in Bulgaria to Friday in Auckland...  that's fast!

Nice that is pretty quick, I ordered some too on 15th April, but still waiting for them to arrive, which shipping method did you select?

That is good going, mine have been up to 2 weeks. Perhaps saturday is the key to getting the right international connections

I did go with DHL, that’s probably the difference?

Hi Team,

I have been eyeing up Shelly's for a few years but haven't needed them up until now (went the Hue route as the house had normal lightbulbs)
Preparing to get into this due to shifting house and wanting to automate lighting, etc..

What's the best place to look at to understand the current state of things wrt certification, which device to buy, etc..

Thanks!

You can find the NZ/AU certificates for the older devices here https://shelly.cloud/knowledge-base/devices/ Shelly 1, 1PM, 2.5PM, 1L, Dimmer etc. The newer devices don't seem to have them yet, not sure if they're not uploaded or not get processed.

Thanks for the list. Anybody install a pro in their switchboard and think it's worth it? I have 1PM behind every switch, but nothing on plugs. Switchboard based might be nicer to install.

Shelly Button1 Wi-FI
Shelly Door/Window
Shelly Flood

Phew, lucky those are certified! 😅

Doesn’t it only work if lights ate direct back to switch board? Or per room?

Yeah that's correct. So I would just use the outlet power monitoring. Not switching. Could even use pro at SB + 1PM and just disable power monitoring at 1PM level.

You can search a couple of the authorities:

https://www.saaapprovals.com.au/resources/certified-product-approvals-register/

https://equipment.erac.gov.au/Public/

I had a quick look and using Shelly in the model box they seem to come up (can see the majority of them there).

I chatted with a retailer here in NZ who won't bring in any but the following: Shelly 1, 1PM, 2.5, 1L and Dimmer2. Apparently Shelly are currently unable to provide the correct test results to allow a SDoC on any other product. They mentioned as they all comply with the relevant EU standards (which all their products do) and therefore automatically comply with AS/NZS standards - so don't doubt they comply here in NZ.

Can anyone shed any light on how that works for self imported products? E.g. I get why a nz-based reseller would not want to sell these with our correct docs.

This may or may not answer your questions.
