Ah, this one doesn't squirt cats. It is supposed to make them bugger off because they don't like the ultrasonic noise the device puts out on being triggered.

The reviewers said it works and they have a 90 day return policy so here's hoping.

That's too bad - but still hoping the U/S thing works. Hopefully it doesn't annoy a cat minding its own business inside the house though?

Ask the local Zoo to see if they will sell you the Urine from the bigger cats and dogs that live there.... that should work.

... and then get someone to hold the lion while you get it to pee into a bottle.

Don't try what I did and smear skunk gel around the perimeter of the yard + garden. Let's just say, I could still smell it around the house and down the footpath days later

For maybe a month or two. It's bloody horrible stuff and the two month respite from cats was not worth it

Those things are really hit and miss, some cats don't like them, some don't even seem to notice them. The fact that there's a return policy is a good thing.

"Mark" your territory over the top of where the cats mark theirs.

Make sure you eat plenty of asparagus before hand - that really confuses them.

Grab the cat and mark it directly with your own scent. At the very least, it will be so surprised/confused at getting a golden shower that it will never return.

Or, get one of those cat sprayers, but instead of hooking it up to water, hook it up to a jug of big cat piss.

A high school science teacher I once had claimed small amounts of this scattered around his rubbish bag at night proved to be quite effective at keeping cats away.

Well I have been using the "CatFree - Automatic Cat Repeller" from Easytek in Christchurch for the last 10 days. (Cost $89.70 with free shipping at present.)

It has been 100% effective so far for the cats visiting our place that venture near it.

It so far is so effective that I have ordered another one to protect another area.

It has no effect on birds or hedgehogs.

I have a camera covering the area around it, so can see the effectiveness.

Boy does a cat move when it is triggered. :-)
