Has anyone in NZ had a difficulty in the last couple of days placing an order on their site?

It is having issues entering address and post code etc. I used this about a month or so ago and it was fine.

tried all the usual browsers virus apps etc even tried using the app on my phone.

Have we upset the yanks again??

In the past I've had an issue when trying to get the website to accept a particular address, and in the end I had to use a completely different address. I probably could have contacted their support team, but I wasn't sure how long they'd take to get back to me and if they'd be able to sort it.

Before you confirm the order, it'd be interesting to see if it accepts say your work or a family members address, compared to the address you're currently trying to use (or home if you're trying to use a work address of course).

I can highly recommend the quest 2 for the price.  I used it so often, especially since getting the vrpanda halo headstrap with earphones.

Just ordered myself a Quest 2 on Saturday. Estimated shipping says November 16th but I’m very doubtful due to COVID.

Previously at least Oculus shipped using FedEx, so you might not experience much delay, fingers crossed!

Well that gives me hope :) I’m the meantime I’ve been looking up loads of stuff to know about the Q2. The amount of updates and improvements they’ve been making to the device is just staggering… I’m an HP Reverb G2 owner and while I love that headset the tethered experience is killing VR for me.

The wireless nature of it is brilliant, and you're quite right about the updates, no other headset has ever received so many new features after release, not even close.

Official Oculus store for $569 NZD postage shipping taxes and everything. Mighty ape was about $200 more expensive

Yeah it's a good deal to buy direct but you're right about shipping being unpredictable. That said something I bought from Amazon 2 weeks ago arrived on Friday.. originally ordered from PB but after 3 months waiting I cancelled. Cost a lot more but it arrived!

Yep I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about long delivery wait times with PbTech. I heard somewhere that it’s due to “the warehouse” mass shipping singular items during lockdown and it’s clogged the couriers.

They didn't even order it is my suspicion.  So they didn't have it available, which I'm sure is a breach of fair trading.  Oh well, I have it now but it's no wonder people aren't buying local.

Especially at this point of the product life cycle.  I mean it's only a year or so old but it came out soon after the Quest 1, and with all the announcements recently it stands to reason new hardware isn't far away either.
