So I see - much fanfare too.

But I'm not sure why multi room music is such a big deal - what's the point of making every room listen to the same thing?

For when you are walking room to room doing things

Can anyone confirm if multi-room audio works with Spotify as well? I read something this morning that suggested it wouldn't...

By the way I am still looking for a workable solution to mobilizing my echo show, take it from lounge to bedside table. The only idea I played in my mind with was a chargeable battery on its base.

They have them for the echo, can't imagine the show is far behind.

I am really disappointed. When they said Multi-Room Music, I thought we would be able to send music to rooms that had Wifi Speakers or Airplay Compatible devices finally, but actually it only supports the Echo's and Dots! So bummed. My most wanted feature is to say "Alexa, play x from y to upstairs speaker" and have it play that music to my airplay wifi speaker upstairs!

I'm hoping LG add support for it into the near deaths door music flows since the Google multiroom is so trash.

I wonder if one of the "Clever Ones" could tell us what sort of battery capacity one would need to power the echo show for say 8 hours. I imagine one would try and set it to shut down as much as possible when not being used? That screen alone must use a fair bit of power?

With Amazon integration coming to loads and loads of brands in the near future (the next 3 months) it will slowly become an inter-operable utopia...

If people do actually want to control their system with their voice that is.

And if actually works when integrated into other brands.

And they put Spotify / Tidal into the system.

There's a host of things to work through, but I'm sure it will get better over time.

Hey guys,

I'm really struggling to get my address set in my Echo Dot, I've read the recommendations on the previous pages and tried every combo I can think of but i'm not having any joy - The annoying thing is the traffic page resolves the address fine.

So I would expect "## streetname place, Tauranga, NZ" would work.

I'm using android app 1.24.2496.0 and the current web version.

Is it just broken for me or am I doing it wrong?

I have android 1.24.2436.0

I previously set the address to my home NZ address. But now it won't let me change it! Has some cloud middleware in the process been changed by Amazon?

Did you set it with that version? I'll try that one if it worked for you.

Yep that's the version I set it with - have not updated it since then.

I'd say they've changed it in the web service at their end.

I've had no joy in any of the last 3 versions of the android app, I just don't know if they have removed the functionality or if i'm getting the address format wrong.

It may be that it was a temporary glitch and Amazon plugged it - if you added an address it works, if not then you can't add anymore.
