I was going to use one of my various otherwise useless android (not android TV) boxes for that. But have read that there is some work done to get them working nativly with openhab so when I get around to it will give that another shot.

richms:

There is a broadlink on aliexpress that has individual port control. They have a new app that claims alexa integration but that only seems to have the IR blaster integrated at the moment, and only for TV control.

0.75mm cable so dont put anything large on it, but build quality seems great. Button on the strip only toggles all outlets but the app has individual control

Which of these do you have?

Isn't it bad to suddenly switch appliances off at the wall without first shutting them down properly first though?

Only ones with operating systems and storage mounted read/write. So you might corrupt a smart TV or bluray player but probably not a desk lamp or battery charger.

Broadlink binding for openhab that might work instead. I know it works for RM3.

Back to topic, and regarding the continued lack of Wemo light switch on the market, does anybody by chance have a couple (two) of these they are wanting to get rid of? I could do with a couple more in my home.
