Dulouz:
SumnerBoy: Just received my shipping notification this evening as well. Feel bad for Murphy...

Don’t worry - I’m sure he’ll be okay. Who knows it might be for the best.

Well technically I made money from this due to the dollar drop so there is that :) Oh well! Just Murphy's Law.

Vacuum arrived without hassle. Customs value the seller put on the documentation was usd$30 so no wonder it passed without issue. Only had a small play so far, seems very capable of mapping the room and negotiating obstacles. App is easy to use and it’s pretty impressive how it shows what it has done, how much area covered and over what time. I currently have it on a seperate wi-fi network to the phone and the only function that seems to require the same network is the manual remote control function (which the kids love).Having a small issue getting latest firmware update, hopefully will sort that tonight.

I had an issue updating the firmware when mine arrived as well. I had to retry 2 or 3 times, eventually it worked.

sheldonlendrum:

Purchased, came in at $409.92 NZD.

There is the wife's Christmas present.

Does that mean you have to pay GST on it?

No-one has replied to my question about whether there is any Doodoo or Cat puke avoiding smarts in these... There are only 2 things stopping me getting one..

1) Will it track poop and vomit around the house?

2) Will it deal with a transition from thick carpet to vinyl ok or will I have to move it manually? (about 20mm difference - I went for fancy ass carpet and thick underlay)

Cheers - N

It will drag puke/poo throughout the house.

Should handle transition from carpet to vinyl just fine

yep concrete floors to thickish carpet, no problem. It is a pretty determined little f'er. Cat poo or vomit will be a real problem tho.

bought from HK, came to NZD$460 after currency conversion (paypal would of charged $464, so bank conversion saved $4).

shame about the shipping, but sale ends in 2 days apparently.

It seems to constantly be on ‘sale’. Shame about the exchange rate tanking in the past few weeks.

You know who to blame for that.
