Hi

After many years working in electrical engineering I am looking at getting into software development as a job and I am curious how I might best get into the industry I am particularly interested in Python. I have done a bit of coding in C# and Python as hobby projects and am currently using Dynamo visual programming and Python to automate some design tasks in my current role also doing some study using Edx and Plurasight to further my skills. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

You don't mind going from being a senior engineer to being a junior developer?

If I was you I'd definitely want to stay in your industry and just start doing software development for electrical engineering within it. At least then your engineering experience counts.
