I was just looking at the Telecom site and was surprised to see that there are no iPhones listed. It turns out that they're on a different page which isn't even directly linked from the first page. I thought this was strange, but Vodafone also doesn't list any iPhones on the "all mobiles" page. They are also not on Skinny's page!

I can understand having a separate iPhone page as they are very popular phones, but they should still be in the list of all available devices. What surprises me is that all three operators don't list it. Is this just a coincidence or is there some reason for it?

I would bet Apple insists that they not be listed with other devices.  Just like they insist their product is displayed separately in shops from competitive products.

*facepalm* ... yet at the same time, not surprising. That's Apple for you!

Err are you sure?,

VF's refurbed store in Welly just has a long bench with all sorts of smart phones on it, including the iPhone,

The onlything special about the iPhone is there is an apple logo in the side of the bench so you know where it is without looking at all the phones, but it is definitely not separated in any way...

Wasn't referring specifically to iPhone, go into a computer shop and you will see all Apple notebooks on their own table, etc.

I imagine that Vodafone would have had to clear that layout with Apple.  From what I understand they very much control their channels.

There will be some exceptions or non-compliance, but I think the others have the right idea.. Similar to Coke, who demand a fridge to themselves closest to the counter.

If people are going to buy these brands (Apple, Coke etc), and retailers comply with the company's strict requirements (whether it they like it or not), then good on them.
