barlowgirl: My phone is saying I have 10.3GB of music stored on my phone, but I only have 1,670 songs, how can this be possible?
iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!
These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.
barlowgirl: ahhh.. so its the type of music I have downloaded?
Im just confused as I have a friend that has about this number of songs on their iPhone and it only takes up about 4-5GB of storage
barlowgirl: In actual fact I dont really care about having the music on my iPhone as I have an iPod as well which I prefer to have my music on, but I cant get the music off my phone!
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation
scuwp: If your music was purchased from iTunes then you can easily re-download all past purchases at no charge. From memory that option is under your account information.
If purchased/obtained elsewhere then sorry it's gone. I don't believe you can get your music back off an "i" device. Its a one way deal. ? ??
Back-up lesson learnt!
On the iTunes "summary" page when you plug your device in you can select to reduce the size/quality of your songs (scroll down its near the bottom on that page). You can also choose to sync only selected songs or even manually manage your music - just drag and drop whatever you want on your device, so you can be selective and manage the storage that way.
