My iPhone 6 won't pair with my Logitech UE9000 headphones.  They worked fine with my previous iPhone 5S, but now it doesn't want to play nice.  I've tried a few things already - restarted the phone, turned airplane mode on/off, turned bluetooth off/on, reset network settings - but nothing has worked.  Any other suggestions?

Hi - there have been reports of BT issues with the new phones and iOS 8.0 - iOS 8.0.2... I believe iOS 8.1 fixed a few issues like this - are you on the latest OS?

Cheers,

Have you tried resetting the headphones? Most only support up to X number of devices being paired with them. I've got a Jabra set that I managed to fill up trying different bluetooth dongles. Factory reset cleared it right up.

I had major issues using bluetooth with my iPhone 6 and Mazda, when it worked fine with my iPhone 5. It's fixed with iOS 8.1. As above, if you haven't installed 8.1 yet try that.

Yep, iPhone is on 8.1.

How do you reset the headphones?  I've tried turning them on and off, and holding down the pairing button so that the light flashes (indicating it's available for pairing).  The only other way I can think to reset it would be remove the battery, but that's a bit of a mission.

I've tried the Reset Network Settings on the iPhone.  What will Reset All Settings affect aside from bluetooth?

Guessing here, but try holding down the bluetooth and volume up or down button for a few seconds. If that doesn't work, try the other one.

I use SOL Republic bluetooth headphones and had to delete all previous pairings when moving from iPhone 5 to iPhone 6.

Mine have a comprehensive manual available online...do the UE ones have the manual on their website?

I've had a look at the Logitech forums, but there's not much there.  Someone has mentioned a problem with their iPhone 6 and a UE Boom box not pairing, and the suggestion was that this is an iOS problem not a Logitech problem.  My problem, though, is that the solution seems to be to install iOS 8.1 (which I've already done).  If it's still a bug in iOS 8.1, it doesn't seem widespread (yet), which may hamper my efforts to get it resolved - I doubt Apple respond to limited issues like this...

Nothing comprehensive. Not that I can find anyway.

Have you been able to pair it with anything else? And vice versa, have you tried pairing anything else with the iPhone 6? i.e. try narrowing down to whether it is a problem with the phone or the headset.

Haven't got another Bluetooth device to pair. I can try pairing the headphones to my wife's iPhone 4s when I get home.

Try pairing the two phones with each other too.

I tried pairing it with an iPad, an iPhone 4S (running iOS7), a MacBook Air, and a Samsung Galaxy S3.  None of them would pair with the headphones.  To me, this suggests its a problem with the headphones, not the phone.

Any suggestions on the next steps?  I think I'll need to contact Logitech for support, or failing that take them back to JB HiFi...

Problem solved.  I finally found this on the Logitech website - http://support.logitech.com/en_us/article/33961 Apparently when pairing additional devices, you have to hold down the pairing button until an audible sound is made, and then it registers on the iPhone.  It still took a couple of attempts to get it working, but at least it is working.

The only other issue is that it will only remember 8 devices.  I forgot to unpair my old iPhone before I traded it in - hopefully it's just a case of remembering the last eight devices paired, rather than remembering only the first eight...
