I should try this. I can't type to save my life on the touchscreen keyboards. I'll report back if I get around to trialling it.

Downloaded it, tried it. It's really good at the predictive words, but the keyboard is quite different to normal so I found it frustrating looking for the punctuation and whatnot. I guess that would come with time. 

I've been using it for a few days.  I find the distance between the space bar and the punctuation button to be not enough, as I constantly put a full stop instead of a space.  The swipe functionality is pretty good, in fact it is better at knowing the word I'm spelling by default than Swiftkey or Swype were, as with those there was a period of training them on my writing style.  I like the one-handed function too.  But I still find 3rd party keyboards on iOS to be very clunky - doesn't matter if they're set as default or not, you often have other keyboards showing up in apps where the 3rd party one should be.  I realise iOS reverts to the default keyboard for things like password entry fields, but my frustration is outside of that scenario in a place where you'd expect to see the keyboard you've chosen and it just doesn't come up. 

I have checked these all out. TouchPal wins. Swipe number keys (the QWERTY row) up for quick numeric. Swipe punctuation keys (ZXCV row) down for quick punctuation. Pulls up a usable numeric keypad in banking apps. Swype messed that up. GBoard and WordFlow don't punctuate, but of course that might be my problem, wanting to punctuate anything.

It's not in the NZ store, nor is GBoard which I've been using exclusively since it came out.  Liking Google's attempt a lot better - seems to handle my swipe method a lot better than some others.  Not that I know what's different about me that the others can't figure out :)

That one handed mode looks really good, Wish Microsoft would bring it to Android and Windows phone. Was really interested in it when they released some prototypes for it a few years ago. I think it is a seriously innovative idea that nobody else has done.
