1.1.3 Jailbroken & Unlocked iPhone users can go ahead and update their iTunes to 7.6.1 without any problems. The update has not affected the 1.1.3 iPhone's that have been hacked. Phew!

NOTE: I have tested this with a 1.1.3 iPhone only.

If anyone on 1.1.2 or 1.1.1 would like to test and post if all is OK.

Hmm - has anyone tried unlocking their phones using ziPhone with iTunes 7.6.1?? Hopefully the update doesn't cause issues there...

Brilliant! I've been holding off till someone confirmed - thanks nzbullet : )

--on a side note, anyone having text-order issues on vodafone with jailbroken/unlocked 1.1.3?

(I remember some article about it but am unsure whether a patch or fix has been released and whether it will work with a hacked phone)

Try going to Settings -> General -> Date & Time and make sure Set Automatically is turned on... apparently this does not always fix the issue though Smile

It still hasn't been tested using ZiPhone to unlock iPhones. It works with ones that have already been done, but no confirmation yet as to ones that haven't been. If anyone hears of it working, or not, please let us know.

I've not had a problem with my texts since I restored with iTunes and used ZiPhone to Jailbreak and unlock.  This is strange because I thought it was  a problem at Apples end and not with the Soft Upgrade.

Have you used ZiPhone or are you still on the soft upgrade? If you are still on soft upgrade I would recommend restoring in iTunes (use 7.6.0 as 7.6.1 hasn't been confirmed with ZiPhone to work with ZiPhone yet) and use ZiPhone to Jailbreak, Activate and Unlock. Hopefully this will sort out you texts, if not you won't have lost anything (except for time!)

Thanks for the tips Piksel and nzbullet

...I used ZiPhone 2.3 (Mac OSX GUI version) a few days ago > restored to 1.1.3 first then used ZiPhone - the last thing displayed on the ZiPhone app was some error but checking my iPhone, everything was working correctly (only after a few hours did I notice that texts were a litle bit 'stuffed')

It's not a biggie but I'll keep researching and try a few things soon

EDIT: i checked that my time settings were on automatic - turning this to off displayed Cupertino as the timezone so i changed this to Wellington and then turned automatic back on - probably not going to make ANY difference but I'll test texts out soon
