We're looking to roll out password managers to staff with iPhones, what we need:

- We do not want password manager to interact with any of our systems directly, we only require secure storage for user-defined passwords.

- Cloud back up required.

Any recommendations?

Just use Lastpass.

Done. Works well, secure and supports team sharing (with a premium subscription).

+1 for Lastpass. At work, we have LastPass Enterprise which allows teams to store and share information securely. Even before that, I was using Lastpass for a couple of years.

Last pass looks very good. Are most of you using Free or Premium? Free looks adequate enough.

My personal account uses premium. I was about to let the premium expire, but there was a code on geekzone that offered it for US$6/year. It used to be US$12/year, and if they reduced the price to that, I would pay it each year. My work LastPass account is part of an enterprise subscription.

Please explain this? Does this mean you don't want a browser extension modifying the HTML of your web page? I believe the enterprise version of LastPass can detect username & password fields in apps to autofill the fields. Is that considered a direct interaction? You mention that you will roll out this pwd manager to all staff, but you don't say if they will need to share those passwords. If the requirement is for each user individually to keep their own passwords, why not use keychain?

Even the free version of LastPass will autofill login and password fields in applications that support this (which is most of them based on my experience), and for the fee that don't, it allows you to copy the username and password and use the paste feature. This is for the Android app, but I assume iOS devices are the same.

I use keepass for a db, which uses the MiniKeePass app on IOS. It doesn't automagically update from the cloud, users have to do it manually, which may not be suitable for you

I use 1Password personally and it works well. They also have business plans and a free trial so you can see if that fits your needs.

enpass, cloud backup but you pick which cloud service you use, currently i use a free dropbox with 2FA to hold the encrypted password file and the dropbox account is only used for this.

Note: you need to buy it for iOS but it's a one off cost. Reason i like this over the others is i get to pick who i use for the cloud backup and enpass does not hold a copy of anything on their servers.

1Password also here, works a treat. Restores password database from iCloud with one master password only. One advantage is that password backup is stored on your own iCloud account, not a different third party site. I’ve set my parents up with it, and I have their master password in my 1Password for extra redundancy.

KeePass, with the database file stored on dropbox, sync'd to phone and other computers. Get a client on any platform. I've used it for years. It's not great at integration, but I copy / paste and on Android I use its keyboard to enter passwords into Chrome / other apps. It's less enterprise friendly that something like Lastpass.

Another vote for 1Password. I set this up at my last company before I left. 15 business accounts for a pittance every month, centralised admin management, and each user got a personal subscription to use at home too as part of the monthly business cost.
