Have just had a chat to an overseas contact, who asked me if I knew anything about NZ 3G iPhones ending up in in hong kong!

First I have heard of this! Anyone else heard anything?

Wouldn't surprise me. The fact is unlocked handsets are available in NZ with no contract - many countries only have handsets locked to networks and/or available on contract.
